Screw Pump HSNH280-43NZ for Long Phu Power Plant Application Product Introduction

The Screw Pump HSNH280-43NZ is a core volumetric transfer component customized for the 1.2GW supercritical coal-fired units of Long Phu Power Plant (Phase 1) in Vietnam.

As a horizontal triple-screw pump, it is mainly applied to the generator sealing oil system, responsible for stable circulation and supply of sealing oil to the generator seal pads.

By maintaining constant oil pressure to seal hydrogen inside the generator and removing moisture/gas from the oil via vacuum tank circulation, it ensures the safe and efficient operation of GE D850 steam turbines and generators, matching the plant’s supercritical technology and environmental goals.

Product Features

Axial volumetric rotor structure enables pulsation-free oil delivery with low noise (≤70dB), adapting to long-term continuous operation in the plant’s turbine room environment.

Excellent working performance: handles lubricating oil with viscosity 3~750mm²/s, working pressure up to 4.0MPa, and temperature resistance of -5℃ to 150℃, fully matching the sealing oil system requirements.

Hydraulic balance design for main and driven screws, combined with mechanical skeleton oil seal, achieves zero leakage and long service life (≥20, 000 operating hours), reducing maintenance frequency.

Side-inlet and side-outlet horizontal structure with compact design, easy to install and integrate with the existing sealing oil system, supporting seamless switchover with backup pumps for bumpless operation.

Applications

Sealing oil supply and circulation for generators in supercritical coal-fired units, preventing hydrogen leakage and protecting seal pads from pressure fluctuations.

Oil circulation treatment in the sealing oil vacuum tank, separating moisture and gas from the oil to maintain oil purity and stability of the sealing system.

Auxiliary oil transfer in turbine lubrication systems, supporting the stable operation of GE steam turbines and auxiliary equipment in the 600MW units.
