Normalizing: Normalizing is a heat treatment process in which GOST 20KMN materials are heated to approximately 910℃ and then air-cooled.

Normalizing improves the machinability of the material and can also be used as a pretreatment before carburizing.

The microstructure of normalized steel is finer than that of annealed steel, with increased strength and hardness, but slightly reduced plasticity and toughness.

Before machining GOST 20KMN materials, normalizing treatment can improve their machinability, increase machining efficiency, and improve surface quality.

Before carburizing, normalizing pretreatment can make the microstructure of GOST 20KMN materials more uniform, which is beneficial to the carburizing process and improves the quality of carburizing.
