Nitriding Time:

- Nitriding time typically ranges from several hours to over ten hours, depending on the desired nitrided layer thickness and the workpiece material.

Cooling and Post-Processing:

- After nitriding, the workpiece is slowly cooled to room temperature.

Tempering or other heat treatments can then be performed as needed to improve toughness and ductility.

Nitriding can significantly improve the surface hardness and wear resistance of SKF SKF3 steel, extending its service life.
