Material properties

High strength and wear resistance:

Alloy elements (Cr, Mn, Si) strengthen the matrix and form carbides, so that alloy 1.7225 steel has high strength and fatigue resistance after quenching and tempering, and is suitable for working conditions with alternating loads and impacts.

Good machinability:

Good cutting performance, alloy 1.7225 steel can optimize the comprehensive mechanical properties through quenching and tempering (quenching + high temperature tempering), and can also be subjected to surface treatments such as carburizing and quenching to further improve the surface hardness (such as surface hardness can reach 58~62 HRC).

Corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance:

Si and Cr elements improve its corrosion resistance in the atmosphere and general media, and at the same time have a certain high temperature oxidation resistance (short-term use temperature is recommended not to exceed 400℃).
